What you'll find in the lounge

Here’s a peek at what to expect during our time together. It may look like a lot at first glance, but don’t fret—this is simply a roadmap, not a to-do list. I’ll guide you through each step as we go, so you’ll always know what’s coming next and what (if anything) needs your attention.

A look at the big picture

This meeting is where the big decisions come together, and you’ll leave feeling confident, prepared, and excited for what’s ahead.

If you haven’t booked yet, I recommend doing that first before moving on to the next sections below.

  • If you’ve already scheduled your consultation through your Welcome Email — you’re all set ✔
  • If not, you’ll find the link to book your consultation in that same email
  • No prep required yet — we’ll walk through everything together during your consult

Here’s how this step works:

This is where the planning officially begins! Your pre-session consultation is the time we’ll walk through your vision, style, outfits, and locations so your senior session feels fully planned and stress-free.

Depending on the collection you selected, your consultation will take place in person or virtually—both options are designed to give you the same personalized planning experience.

Schedule Your
Planning Session

Phase 1

Nothing here is set in stone. These ideas are simply a starting point to get the wheels turning. If you already have a location in mind that isn’t listed — a favorite coffee shop, a theater, a studio space, or somewhere meaningful to you — I’m always open to exploring it together.

The same goes for hair and makeup. Professional styling is completely optional. Whether you choose to have it done, do it yourself, or keep things simple and natural, what matters most is that you feel comfortable and confident. We’ll talk through all of it and decide what works best for you during your consultation.

  • Browse outfit and styling inspiration
  • Explore location options and overall session vibes
  • Get familiar with hair & makeup recommendations

Here’s what to focus on now:

Now that you are officially booked, this is where the fun begins. This phase is all about inspiration — getting a feel for the style, vibe, and details that will make your senior session feel personal and totally you.

You don’t need to have anything figured out yet. Think of this as a place to explore ideas, notice what you’re drawn to, and start imagining what your photos could look like. We’ll make all the final decisions together during your consultation.

Style Your Session

Phase 2

These pieces help me come into our pre-session consultation prepared and make sure our time together is focused, productive, and fun.

  • Vision board: Create and share a Pinterest (or inspiration) board that reflects your style and vibe. Pin anything that catches your eye — outfits, locations, poses, colors, or hair and makeup ideas. Don’t overthink it — this is inspiration, not final decisions.
  • Questionnaire: Complete your senior questionnaire so I can learn more about your personality, interests, and what you’re hoping for. You'll find the link in your Welcome Email

Here’s what I’ll need from you:

This is where I get to know you a little better. By sharing your style, interests, and the ideas you’re drawn to, I can begin planning a senior session that feels thoughtful, personal, and well planned. Nothing needs to be finalized yet — this phase is simply about gathering inspiration and direction.

Share Your
Vision

Phase 3

By the end of your planning session, you’ll have a clear plan in place and feel fully prepared for your senior photos — with no guesswork and no stress.

We’ll walk through how your session will flow so you know exactly what to expect on shoot day.

  • Session flow & timing

Whether you’re planning to do your own hair and makeup or work with a professional, we’ll make sure everything feels comfortable, cohesive, and true to you.

  • Hair & makeup plans

We’ll choose locations that fit your style and personality and talk through the overall look and feel you want for your session.

  • Locatons & overall vibe

We’ll start by talking through what tends to photograph really well and what’s worked beautifully for my seniors in the past. From there, I’ll help guide outfit choices so shopping feels easy and stress-free. And if you already have a few outfits you’re excited about, you’re always welcome to share those too.

  • Outfits & styling

Here’s what we'll cover together:

This is where everything starts to feel real — and fun. During your planning session, we’ll take all the ideas you’ve been gathering and turn them into a clear, easy plan for your senior photos. It’s a relaxed, guided conversation designed to help you feel confident, comfortable, and excited heading into your session.

Depending on the collection you selected, your planning session will take place virtually or in person. Either way, you’ll get the same personalized, hands-on guidance throughout the process.

You don’t need to have anything figured out yet. Think of this as a place to explore ideas, notice what you’re drawn to, and start imagining what your photos could look like. We’ll make all the final decisions together during your consultation.

Let's Plan
 Your Session

Phase 4

By the time your session arrives, you’ll know exactly what to expect and feel fully prepared — with no guesswork and no stress.

The best prep at this point is simple — get a good night’s sleep, drink some water, and try not to overthink things. Everything else is covered.

  • Rest & relax

I’ll send a short reminder with anything you might want to bring along to your session so nothing is forgotten.

  • What to bring

Text me a photo of the outfits, shoes, and accessories you plan to wear during your shoot. If you have any last-minute outfit questions, this is the perfect time to reach out. I’m always happy to take a quick look or offer feedback.

  • Outfit check-in

We’ll keep an eye on the forecast and make any
necessary adjustments if needed. If something
changes, I’ll guide you through the options.

  • Weather check & adjustments

I’ll confirm the session time, meeting location,
and any final details so you know exactly
where to be and when.

  • Final confirmations

Here’s what to expect as we get closer:

As your session gets closer, I’ll be in touch to make sure everything feels clear and easy. This phase is all about final details and light prep — nothing stressful, just a few simple things to help you feel ready and relaxed.

The Week & Day
Before Your Session

Phase 5

The goal is a session that feels comfortable, well-paced, and thoughtfully guided — so you can focus on being in the moment and having fun while I handle the rest.

I’ll keep an eye on the details and the overall flow of the session, helping things stay relaxed and easy from start to finish.

  • Trust me on the rest

During your session, I’ll show you how things are looking as we go — quick peeks from the back of my camera, little sneak looks so you can see what I’m seeing, so you know everything is coming together. It helps you relax, feel confident, and stay excited as we move through the session.

  • Encouragement along the way

I’ll show you exactly how to pose and give you prompts along the way that help things feel natural. If something doesn’t feel right, we adjust — simple as that.

  • Lots of guidance (with room to be yourself)

We’ll ease into things and get you feeling comfortable right away. I’ll guide you through everything so nothing feels awkward or forced.

  • A comfortable, easy start

Here’s what you can expect:

Today’s the day. You don’t need to come in knowing how to pose or what to do — I’ll guide you through everything so you can relax and enjoy the experience without overthinking the details.
